“History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes.” Mark Twain
Remember the good ole days when we only had to worry about a certain technocratic vision of digital slavery our globalist overlords were cooking up? When I look at our current geopolitical trajectory I’m just hoping that the battle against the Great Reset is one we are even around to fight.
If you believe that history rhymes, I have 2 maps for you that should raise a few eyebrows.
The Suwalki Corridor
Sometimes called the Suwalki Gap, this thin strip of land, just 65km long to be exact, separates the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad from Belarus. It straddles the Poland-Lithuania border and is actually administrated by the Lithuanians. But it gets its name from the nearby Polish city of Suwalki.
As I’m sure many of you know, Lithuania has just announced it would be effectively blockading 50% of the goods that pass through the Sulwalki Corridor and into Kaliningrad.
So just when it seems that 3 heads of NATO member states (Macron, Draghi, Scholz) traveled to Ukraine to encourage Zelensky to de-escalate and start negotiations with Russia, we have another NATO country deciding to escalate the situation. Forget the 4D chess analogies, this is poker, and someone isn’t very good at the game. In Texas Hold’em there are 4 betting rounds, after you receive your 2 personal (Hole) cards, after the first 3 community cards are dealt (the Flop), after the 4th community card is dealt (the Turn) and after the final 5th community card is dealt (the River). If you get all the way to the River against an opponent there often will be times when you simply cannot bet because the only hand that can call the bet is one that beats you. All hands that you beat will just fold. So there’s absolutely no point in betting.
Lithuania has just bet on the River and Putin will only call if he’s ready to go head-to-head with NATO. Lithuania’s actions achieve nothing except place it in Russia’s crosshairs. It thinks that NATO’s Article 5 means the alliance will ride to its rescue if it is attacked by Russia.
However, a Russian attack on Lithuania might very well signal the disintegration of NATO.
Let’s read Article 5, and maybe someone could bring this analysis to the attention of Lithuanian government officials. I’ll bold the important parts.
The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognised by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.
Translation: Any NATO member can individually determine the level of action it deems necessary. Including none.
Does anyone actually believe that France, the UK, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, and Greece are going to send their children into an East European mind grinder?
America might be able to rally a few ex-Warsaw Pact countries but Western Europe and Turkey might decline to get involved, spelling the end for the military alliance.
Facing an unwinnable situation does America pout and stomp its feet a few times before storming off to its room? Or does it play the only card it has left - you know, the radioactive one that glows a bit in the dark?
But let’s also wargame a scenario where NATO maintains its military cohesion and we have a NATO vs Russia conventional war. The only thing we need to understand here is that this is a false premise. It would be a NATO vs Russia/China war, 2 countries that recently announced “no limits” to their “partnership”. Fun times.
Who thinks the human race will survive a war of that magnitude?
The Other Polish Corridor
After World War 1, Poland, a country that hadn’t existed as a nation for over 100 years, was reconstituted. The north of Poland sliced the German Empire in two, isolating East Prussia from Germany. The German city of Danzig was given semi-autonomous status in order to guarantee Poland’s access to a Baltic seaport. The Free City of Danzig, although under the protection of the League of Nations, was put into a binding customs union with Poland. The semi-autonomous status of Danzig was in name only with Poland controlling the territory’s communications, railways, and port facilities.
Kaliningrad is the northern section of East Prussia. The city pre-WW2 was called Königsberg.
The Polish Corridor and the loss of Danzig were the cause of much resentment in post-war Weimar Germany. When Hitler came to power in 1933, he actually pursued a policy of rapprochement with Poland. He still wanted Danzig, but with guarantees of Poland’s unfettered access to the seaport. At this point in history, in 1938, Hitler had already decided to go to war with France and England but he was also concerned about an attack from Stalin’s Russia to the east. The main tenet of German diplomacy at the time was the Anti-Comintern Pact, an alliance of anti-communist nations. Hitler’s idea was to incorporate Poland, Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Romania into the Anti-Comintern Pact to act as an eastern buffer while the Wehrmacht waged war to the west.
Poland refused the sign the Anti-Comintern Pact and in 1939 Hitler made a final attempt to solve his East Prussia and Danzig problem. He wanted to construct a freeway and railway through the Polish Corridor to reunite Danzig and East Prussia with Germany. The Poles, after witnessing Hitler’s annexation of Austria, and his invasion of Czechoslovakia even after they ceded Sudetenland to Germany, trusted Hitler about as far as they could throw him. They rejected Germany’s final ultimatum on August 30, 1939. Hitler invaded Poland the next day.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it
The historical parallels between Kaliningrad, Danzig, and East Prussia are hard to ignore. It begs the question, “Who is controlling this shitshow?”.
It’s also becoming clearer each day that the globalists have lost control. Completely. The train is off the rails and someone is steering it off a cliff.
There is a schism in NATO. You have the leaders of France, Germany, and Italy visiting Ukraine to urge Zelensky to negotiate. And you have Boris Johnson hopping on a plane the next day to ensure Zelensky pays them no heed.
You have Lithuania escalating tensions for no apparent reason and being cheered on by the US.
I can only draw one conclusion from all of this. This is not Putin raising a middle finger to the globalist agenda. He is happy to go along with the whole agenda as long as Russia has a seat at the big boy’s table. And do you remember the WEF’s 8 Predictions For The World In 2030? That’s the long-since memory-holed video that stated “You will own nothing and be happy”. Number #2 on that video (#3 on the web page) stated, “The US won’t be the world’s leading superpower” and “A handful of countries will dominate”.
They are predicting a multipolar world, something Putin himself talked about in his last speech to Davos in January 2021:
Obviously, the era linked with attempts to build a centralized and unipolar world order has ended. To be honest, this era did not even begin. A mere attempt was made in this direction, but this, too, is now history. The essence of this monopoly ran counter to our civilization’s cultural and historical diversity.
The identity of the faction raising the finger to the globalists is now revealed.
It’s our old friends, the American Exceptionalist Neocons. They too are happy to go along with the globalist agenda but that part about the end of the unipolar world and America not being the top dog? Forget about it. If America is not going to be #1, no one is.
So on one side, we have the Neocons. On the other, we have the Russians and Chinese. And in the middle, we have the globalist technocracy just waiting to see who wins so they can get on with their plans to enslave the human race.
Joy.
I leave you with a warning from Putin’s speech to the WEF on January 27th, 2021. He might be a ruthless leader (not a dictator in my view) but my intuition tells me he just wanted a fairer, more peaceful world.
Of course, such a heated global conflict is impossible in principle, I hope. This is what I am pinning my hopes on because this would be the end of humanity. However, as I have said, the situation could take an unexpected and uncontrollable turn – unless we do something to prevent this. There is a chance that we will face a formidable break-down in global development, which will be fraught with a war of all against all and attempts to deal with contradictions through the appointment of internal and external enemies and the destruction of not only traditional values such as the family, which we hold dear in Russia, but fundamental freedoms such as the right of choice and privacy.
I would like to point out the negative demographic consequences of the ongoing social crisis and the crisis of values, which could result in humanity losing entire civilizational and cultural continents.
We have a shared responsibility to prevent this scenario, which looks like a grim dystopia, and to ensure instead that our development takes a different trajectory – positive, harmonious, and creative.
Vladimir Putin, WEF speech, January 27th 2021
I do hope the author is right.
The only thing worse than WW3 is total subjugation of free humanity as a consequence of pre-agreed compromises by all the power brokers of the world.
Pray they’ve lost control of the geopolitics, because it also means they’ve lost control of the narrative & us.
Best wishes
Mike
Way back "in the beginning" Russia was very clear what it wanted...a neutral Ukraine without NATO forces at it's border. In our 'wisdom' we assumed Putin was lying and of course now we will never know. The US interest is to allow Russia to decimate Ukraine in order to keep the war machine profitable and possibly to cover up some Biden fraud in that part of the world. Zelenski is a hapless pawn who has been lionized by the world for his "strength and courage". What mere mortal could resist this? Meantime back in DC our elected leaders ignore the risk of starvation to third world countries and continue to blame Putin for his response to the sanctions placed on him. (it says a lot about this situation the Russia's economy is thriving while western economies are on the brink). And more than a few of the uniparty elites in DC are clamoring for a nuclear confrontation.
All as the 'patriotic' population look on in complete apathy while those who see this situation for what it is are called traitors.
